New Murabba

For the New Murabba director's cut, our task was to craft an evocative soundtrack for a film centered on the transformative urban planning in southern Riyadh. Premiering on Saudi National Day, the film needed to resonate deeply with the Saudi audience, instilling both hope and a renewed sense of pride in their country’s future. We aimed to create a composition that not only supports the visual narrative but also amplifies the emotional undertones of the film—hope, progress, and confidence. It was crucial that the track carry a modern yet authentic feel, respectful of the film’s cultural significance while conveying an inspiring vision for the future of Riyadh.

The final soundtrack is a thoughtfully constructed piece that we believe captures the essence of New Murabba. Built on a foundation of warm, orchestral strings layered with ambient electronic textures, the composition evokes a sense of optimism and grandeur. As the track progresses, subtle traditional instruments are woven in, grounding the piece in Saudi cultural heritage while maintaining a modern, cinematic feel. These elements crescendo towards an uplifting climax that aligns with the film’s narrative of transformation and hope. The end result is a soundtrack that we feel enhances the emotional impact of New Murabba, leaving the audience with a lasting sense of pride and confidence in the vision of Riyadh's future.
