Challenge
The challenge was to create music that would perfectly complement the mission and tone of the new DeGiro campaign, crafted by Agency Indie. The financial service provider aims to break down the barriers to investing, making it accessible, transparent, and straightforward. With the goal of promoting the idea that "everyone can be an investor," the music needed to reflect this idea of openness while also addressing the campaign's key values: simplicity, trust, and accessibility. The minimalistic approach required careful attention to how the music would resonate with diverse European audiences while maintaining a clear, emotional connection to the message. A classical music framework was chosen to provide both sophistication and clarity, underlining the campaign’s honest and straightforward approach. The music needed to underscore the journey of demystifying investing without overpowering the core message.
Output
The music created for this campaign follows a minimalist, classical approach, designed to echo the themes of class, simplicity and accessibility. The composition tells a story through a delicate string melody. The string arrangement was performed by Jasper van Rosmalen, a renowned musician from the Metropole Orchestra, whose expertise helped bring the minimalistic vision to life. This minimalist approach allowed the music to breathe, avoiding complexity while still conveying depth and emotion. The string melody follows a narrative arc, reflecting the journey of the individual investor and the empowerment that comes with understanding and participating in the financial world. The orchestration feels both intimate and expansive, capturing the ambition of DeGiro to make investing accessible to all, while keeping the message clear and honest. By creating this evocative, classical score, the music worked in harmony with the campaign's visual and narrative elements. The campaign launched across multiple European countries, including the Netherlands, France, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, resonating with audiences by combining elegance, clarity, and openness, traits that define DeGiro's platform and mission.
