THNDR had the pleasure of working on the new TV commercial for Xenos, a Dutch retail store that is celebrating its 50th anniversary. A Good Beer asked us to create a unique audio track for their new campaign, incorporating the "Xenos Sound" that we explored together.
The challenge was to bring the magical feeling of the campaign to life and give it an oriental touch in instrumentation, the Xenos sound houses a magical vibe, sometimes even fairytale like, and it's very outspoken. We opted for an oriental sound that would complement the animation of Buddha meditating while also incorporating that the campaign is all about celebrating the 50th anniversary of Xenos. So the track needs to build up to a festive and upbeat mood that radiates the festive mood.
We achieved all this by incorporating traditional oriental instruments, such as the Sitar, Darbuka, Ney. And, by adding a modern beat to create a fun, lively, and upbeat sound. Incorporating the dance / festival mood that Bollywood can have as the beat drops.
The visuals and audio worked together harmoniously, creating a cohesive and enjoyable experience for listeners. We were honored to be part of this project and to have helped make Xenos' 50th-anniversary celebrations a memorable occasion.
